Official Trump Price Drops 11%, Traders Turn To This Crypto Index

The Official Trump price dropped 11% in the last 24 hours to trade at $15.69 as of 2:00 a.m. EST on trading volume that surged 45% to $1.55 billion.

This drop in the TRUMP price comes after the US President said that he plans to announce 25% steel and aluminium tariffs this Monday, Feb. 10. The tariffs will concern all steel and aluminium imports, including from Canada and Mexico, but also other import duties later this week.

Trump first announced the new upcoming tariffs on Friday, and his meme coin, Official Trump, has been dropping ever since. The token’s price went from $20 on Feb. 5 to $14.91 a few hours ago. Since then, it managed to see a slight recovery which took its price to $15.69.

Official Trump Price Prediction

After the Official Trump price spiraled down from $20 on Feb. 5 to just above the support at $15 on Saturday, Feb. 8, TRUMP saw a minor recovery that took it up to $17.9. However, the resistance at $18 rejected its price, causing it to dip to $14.85 a few hours ago.

The token’s Bollinger Bands were relatively tight as its price was recovering over the weekend, only to then see a slight widening as it started dropping again on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Its biggest widening in the last few days happened in the last 12 hours, as its price started fluctuating between the lower band and the middle line between the two bands. It even remains wide now, as it bounced from the lower band to the upper one.

The meme coin’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows that before Sunday, TRUMP’s RSI fluctuated between the neutral value at 50 and the overbought zone. However, on Sunday, it crashed from the overbought zone to the oversold one, fluctuating between 30 and 45.

Over time, the fluctuations started growing sharper and larger, dipping deeper into the oversold zone, and managing to recover to 50 as traders started buying and selling more recklessly. Then, several hours ago, the RSI showed a major increase in buying pressure which pushed the RSI from the value of 23.54 to 62.57, which is where it sits at the time of writing, once again heading for the overbought zone.

While the token’s price is surging right now, it has seen a severe drop over the last five days, and it will likely be a while before it can make a full recovery.
